  1. Removed the masking tape around the windscreen today, and I am happy to report that it turned out pretty well! I will post pictures later today.
  2. Thanks Richard - and thanks again for sending me these! Now, to find the mojo! Get my butt into gear!
  3. Beautiful, beautiful result Mark. I hope to one day be able to achieve this kind of result on my kits. Love the color scheme.
  4. Having my clamps/stitches removed on Monday, which is 3 days later than they estimated. Oh well, who trusts doctors anyway! Haha. So, that'll be when I will start working on this bird again - though the decals that Richard sent me has yet to arrive. This doesn't bode well as it wouldn't be the first time decals vanished on their way to me from generous individuals, but I remain hopeful.
  5. Hot dang this is looking so good. I can't wait to try some of these weathering techniques on my own Mustang as well!
  6. In truth I've not yet sat down at the bench since returning home.. I've mainly been stuffing my face with various food products whilst binge watching that 70's show.
  7. Thank you Mike! Thanks Gerhard! Thanks Mark! I'm glad I decided to have this surgery.
  8. Thanks Chris! I will have the stitches removed in 4 days and then I will be able to return to modelling for real! Sir yes sir! Thanks Harv! Thank you so much Peter! Thanks Brian! Hope to have this bird finished by the end of this month or the beginning of the next!
  9. Surgery went well my dudes! Gallstones and gallbladder removed. I am healthy as a horse again. Another good thing about this is that it costed me nothing. The healthcare is free in Sweden! I was out the same day as the surgery. They forbade me to be alone for a couple of days though, so I stayed at my brothers crib for a while. But now I am back home. Weoooao!
  10. Thanks my dudes. There's still a handful of hours left. Last time I was in the hospital, I was 17 months old and had been bitten by a venomous snake. In Sweden they are called Huggorm. They didn't expect me to survive, but here I am! Maybe I am lucky.
  11. So uh.. turns out it's not gastritis. After a hospital visit they determined that I need to have some "stones" in my gallbladder removed. If that fails, they will remove it completely. Surgery is tomorrow. I'm pumped. actually i'm frightened as f*** but yeah - in case we don't see eachother again - good afternoon, good evening, and good night!
  12. I am still filling and sanding a lot around the windscreen of my Mustang; still trying to achieve the finish I am after. However, I have been suffering from a bad case of gastritis this past week, that only just now started to withdraw from my system. It has been really bad, not even being permitted to keep food down. Severe pain teamed with hunger kinda takes away the model building mood. I reckon I will have some more pictures to share with you lot soon, though - and with Richard's decal on the way, maybe the kit will be done before February.
  13. Thanks Don! Looks like Lady Luck smiles upon me today. Thank you ever so much, Richard. I reckon you've saved this birds life. I will PM you shortly!
  14. Thank you Peter. In the meantime I have a windscreen to mend, hopefully without mishaps!
  15. Thank you! Well, I can't make stencils... and I have no experience of shooting more than one color on such things anyway, and I am sick of drawbacks! Haha. Thanks for the idea though!
  16. Ack. The nice lady at Airfix Spares just informed me that they do not have the decals I need - only for the older release of the kit, A14003. Thanks! Do you really have it though? If so... I would gladly pay for the "B"!
  17. Thanks Kev. Well, Airfix have replied now as well. They do supply decals. They're asking for the kit number... fingers crossed that they have the sheet I need. That would allow Richard to keep his B!
  18. Here's the damage... unfortunately I cannot repair this. Absolutely no way.
  19. Found this album on imgur. The title reads: "US Naval tradition dictates that when a pilot mistakenly lands on the wrong aircraft carrier, fellow crew members do their absolute best to remain discrete, so as to not embarass the pilot." These are the pictures, which I found hilarious:
  20. Thanks Richard. I've already emailed Airfix about a new "B" decal, but chances are they will be unable to help. Worst case scenario would be that they only sell spare parts, not decals...
