A new helmet is available now by Reedoak in different scales : The SPH-4 US Army helicopter pilot helmet was used in the Vietnam war, the golf war to until recently, beeing replaced by the HGU-56/P helmet. Left in 1/35, middle in 1/48, right a post vietnam version with velcro on the back. Helmet is with detailled interior like the others in Reedoak products line. cheers Norbert

There is a guy working on an impressive 1/32 B-17 crew since a good time (walking crew) that will most probably make great (and massive) dios possible. But I keep that all in mind.

I will do a in flight crew. However, the clear visor on top of helmet will be plain grey resin, you will have to paint it helmet colour (white or camo like here) and put a relatively thick layer of gloss warnish on top.

Hi added brown madder (brun de garance) in the folds in order to give more depth. This is oil paint, that will take time to dry. I use high quality paints from Winsor and Newton, rich in pigments With a dry brush, that I cleaned with a paper towel every few seconds, cleaned the excess of brown madder, so it remains only in the depth in traces. Will let all that dry one day minimum before to enlight surfaces turned to the top. looking at the pictures, I will work a bit more the brown madder before it dries too much cheers Norbert

Hi Started the second russian pilot. I'm afraid I let a bit too much red on the face, have to work this out. I wanted it easy but I see it still need balancing between not enough ant too much. First pilot still not done... Cheers Norbert

Many thanks for your kind words. Figure is in progress, you see it by the blue flotation bags under arms. Hairs need more work, and the supply of better quality paints. I tried a very easy way to paint the figure's face, will try to show how to do it.
