  1. Blimey Jeroen, how on earth do you get so far in such a short time It's already looking good. (I'm still plucking up the courage to begin my first model for .... <mumble mutter> .... years! kit has arrived, tools bought, some paints gathered together - still no air brush though - and tomorrow's the big day!). Will watch with interest. Grant
  2. Here we go again. .... Another Jeroen bookmark but this one's strange? this one's an Allied fighter? Looking forward to this one too. Pity the valve stem is too long (?), it would look terrific as a stand for a flying (or partially "wheels up") build. Still, it's a terrific, interesting accompaniment and suits your theme of displaying your builds. Obant.🍺
  3. Such sad, sad news not made easier for you by the time of year either ... my condolences to you and your family. Obant
  4. And ........ We're off and running !! Nice and sharp already. Obant.
  5. AHA !!! <rubs hands with glee> .... here we go, been looking forward to this one. Bookmarked. Obant
  6. Well, I've just spent the last few hours (yes, hours) reading through this fabulous thread/tutorial/master-class and have to agree with a number of sentiments already expressed by other members: You sir, are certifiably barking mad ! - Howling at the moon you are ! But, all in all you are, sir, an utter genius !! I can honestly say that I've thoroughly enjoyed everything you've done so far and thank you for sharing your techniques with everyone ... it's astonishing stuff, truly fascinating and I can't wait for more. Just what is in the water in Alberta ???? By the way, did you experiment with moulding clear fuse halves?? If so, how'd they come out ?? Obant.
  7. Outstanding ! truly outstanding ! Obant
  8. PAPER ????? !!! You're kidding right ?? Well, that's just extraordinary - fabulous build. Obant
  9. Fantastic stuff again Jeroen. Looks really good. Cheers Obant
  10. That looks as close to real as anything I've seen in a long time Jeroen. Good job - It'll look really nice in a frame on the wall and a nice way of displaying it without taking up to much space. I did a shadow box in a picture frame once for a Napoleonic figure I'd made. Kept the dust off which was a bonus. Obant
  11. All time favourite aircraft, superb skills and tutorial on display ...... bookmarked !!! Looking forward to this one ... thanks ! Meanwhile, two reasons to be jealous - an HE111 plus (dang it) a 1:1 Jeep ! Obant
  12. Oh yeah ... Jeroen been shopping ! That PE looks the biz - good find. Obant
  13. Excellent - can't wait for both to progress (in your own time of course) - great pit lamp by the way. If there's enough reference pics around then a camouflaged boat would be really cool. Have you seen this : http://www.prinzeugen.com/colors.htm looks like some good reference points. Any which way would be good though Cheers Obant
  14. Soooo pleased this is showing movement again - I love this topic ! Where's your He-111 build Jeroen? one of my fav's and I can't find it anywhere - it's just not fair, you're hiding from me aren't you, huh, huh??? Obant
  15. This really is one of if not THE most incredible builds I've ever had the fortune to watch and read about. It really is truly incredible and the skills you have are mind blowing ... where on Earth did you get them ... It's just not fair !! And believe me when I say I'm not trying to blow smoke up your whatsits ! but credit where credit's due. Brilliant stuff man, just brilliant. Obant.
  16. Stunning work Jeroen, truly phenomenal stuff! I love the detail on the undercarriage and the wheel chocks are just terrific. All the best, Obant (Grant)
  17. How on earth did I miss this one ??? Lovely work geedub, made all the more special by your thoughtful dedication to Flt Lt John Egging. Obant
  18. AHA !!! There you are Another build to book mark - looking forward to this one too ! Obant
  19. Wow, it really is coming on brilliantly ... Obant PS: Meant to say - the video really adds "dimension" to the topic; reckon you might have started a trend there !!
  20. Great idea with the ID Tag and very apt indeed - a nice touch. Cheers, Obant
  21. It's like trying to follow the Scarlet Pimpernel ! here, there, everywhere ..... How cool is that ?????? Excellent stuff as usual. By the way, what's the disk thing you've bought which, I assume, you're going to use on the display plinth? An ID tag of some sort? Grant. (PS: If you're clearing away stalled projects, does this mean you're going to re-visit your Albatross ???? some of the best painting technique I've ever seen on the fuselage)
  22. Jeroen, that's a truly stunning piece of work .... and finished too!!! I think your beautifully painted figures add a huge amount to a terrific modelling subject - something that is often not the case. Great Job. Now, where've you gone to? Sopwith, Albatross ????? Obant
  23. As usual, I'm running out of superlatives - I think your figure work is absolutely first class and truly adds to the overall quality of this build. Great job Jeroen, great job.... All the best , Grant
