  1. Finally got it done. I ended up using the kit props since I was unable to fine the AMS or Relish models corrected props. This build is getting donated to the Marshall Brewing in Tulsa whose the dad of Dave Marshall flew the Big Jamoke.
  2. I am unable to find either the AMS resin or Relish models props for the 1/32 HK models B-25J. Relish models said a few weeks ago that they have an order in to their caster but no idea when that will be fulfilled. I tried to reach out to Harold at AMS resin and no word back (not sure if I have correct contact). Does anyone have one of the sets that they are willing to sell? My "Big Jamoke" is all but complete, just waiting on props. https://photos.app.goo.gl/13jyZR557wxHqe8g7 David
  3. The ones that were OD on top and NMF on bottom do appear to have tails painted on the inside as you indicate. With the Big Jamoke, it was all NMF with green tail. I went ahead and painted only the outboard OD and red tail cap red on both sides. The people that will be viewing it will likely be bar patrons at Marshall brewing in Tulsa Oklahoma. The father of my friend Dave Marshall (son is brew master) flew the Big Jamoke and they have a beer called the Big Jamoke. Thanks for the help!
  4. Working on the HK 1/32 B-25J (321st GB in Mediterranean theater)and my subject is NMF except for the tails which is green with a red top cap. My question, is the green & red tail color only applied to the outboard portion or is it green & red on the inboard section as well? I am seeing a lot of restored aircraft that show the outboard section painted and inboard NMF but references are scarce for some reason.
  5. A little 3D printing for a hand full of items. My subject plane has a modern radio stack so I had to draw it up & print it. Same with the dual venturi's.
  6. I just noticed this from RB products https://www.bnamodelworld.com/parts-decals-for-aircraft-1:32-rb-productions-rb-t036?zenid=5c1b43c94194deb3c4ec6f8ce4550f3a I wish these guys made one for the Stearman. http://www.lfmodels.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_75
  7. My reference prop but I need practice....
  8. all fabricated. hand full of custom 3D printed parts. Will be converting to a PT-17 and given to friend which this matches his 1/1 scale plane.....
  9. This kit from ICM is a very nice kit. My first attempt at rigging and second attempt at painting a wooden prop. This is built for IPMS USA review which should be posted in May 2021.
  10. The intakes are almost a drop in fit. Hoping for them tobe released before end of month. Long intake to cast in one piece. Looks like KH intended to make intakes then did not finish that part.
  11. Posting the finished Mossie I did for the IPMS reviews last month.
  12. This is the outfit that owns it here in Oklahoma. The have a C-47 as well.
  13. Since I built her as she is today, it has to be straight lines, not as if it was applied with a paint roller..........
  14. Finished a commission build for a future pilot of this aircraft that is finishing restoration near me in Tulsa Oklahoma. Modified the Trumpeter C-47A into a DC3 then C-49. Engines Vector Wright 1820 single row (9 cyl) instead of P&W R-1830 double row (14 cyl) engines (60 parts per engine). Shortened cowling for reduced row engines. Removed upper dome behind cockpit, scratch built tail cone fairing, added rubber brake lines (orange) & steel brake lines. Scratch built interior to match current aircraft and added rib & stringer details. True details wheels, Ultracast props, revised engine air intake scoop and modern antennas.
  15. I wish I painted my roundels like you did, the decals had a rough texture. I used xtracrylix for a gloss based and still had decal issues. Nice build you have there!
  16. One photo shows the kit droop and I flattened them out to match the actual aircraft
  17. Built this for IPMS review. http://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/us-coast-guard-hh-65c-dolphin-helicopter Rotor droop too excessive Mod so rotor can rotate, kit had very shallow guide, poor design
