The history is that the Sabre was the first thing I ever saw a person ever draw-- it was my dad. I asked him to teach me how to draw it- the rest was history. By the way, he is a huge Alabama fan. The past month has been crazy with building the online store, the Big Gun diorama and this baby!! I slept all day today (just about)... I knew I had to build this for him when I saw the decals on Ebay for a great deal--his name is Shirley (which is whole nother story). Giving me my first model at the age of 3, teaching me how to draw a little later. I owe my love for art to him. I once asked him if he would mind if I majored in art in College, he said "John, I wouldn't care if you cleaned toilets for a living as long as you did it well and with (in his vernacular he used a different phrase) integrity." I know it's not 100% perfect and I didn't accent the panel lines and there's other issues, but as a labor of love it is perfect IMO Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
