For those who prefer things closed up, how does this set look in the closed position?

All of the sections will glue together with very little or no problems, obviously you will not require the hydraulic / pneumatic canopy openers, you may need to trim the canopy insert framing a little on the hinge points, but I do not think you will need to.

I would suggest dry fitting all of the sections together and then to possibly glue them altogether and once they are nicely aligned then attach the whole canopy section as one, JUST an idea.

some have asked if I could cast the canopy sections all as a one piece, well this could be done, not impossible but it would make the casting very tricky as well as de-moulding and lots of bubbles would be potentially trapped.

hope this helps, cheers Ali
