Guest Peterpools
Actually that's not quite true, as I did build and paint Herr Otto for the planned vignette. The figure is from Model Cellar Productions: Eduard Ritler von Schleich "The Black Knight of Germany", who shall be known in my display as Herr Otto. Not great but still learning how to paint figures. I still have to finish the shoes, tone down the soles and paint a few more details and buckles. Thanks for following Edited February 17, 2013 by Peterpools

Guest Peterpools
HI Willi I'm right with you. I do enjoy trying to learn how to paint them and I have to admit they are quite relaxing to do. But talk about time consuming and struggling to see what you're doing. I'm sure you found the better way.
miamiangler
Your figure looks very nice , I just cant get the shadow effect and skin tones right. I usually do the base colors then my friend does his magic to bring the figures to life .
Guest Peterpools
Willi That's the secret of figure painting. I'm close to figuring it out and layering on the acrylics is the key. I've been using this video from Michigan Toy soldier as a guide to doing faces and it is been a big help. Not sure I'll ever get there but it is sure a ton of fun trying to.
