  1. HI guys, it's been a while since I post any comment nor progress on my many unfinish build... but hey, got a few days left before getting back to work so I'm jupping in with this Italeri Tf-104G, evendo I did not have all my goodies readily on hands, just got enough to start. Gonna use Quinta 3D pit, Gunze paint, and coming in, a full set of Fundekals and Aerobonus Seat/pilot. Very nice set.. Color based on the 1/48 Hasegawa kit and making sure that I could get all I needed regarding my numbers with Fundekals sheet.... Thanks for watching and will do my best to finish this one in time.... Dan.
  2. Does anyone know the timelines for the many Aerobonus tractors? There are at least 11 different ones, and I wanted to know when and where they were used. Thanks in advance. 1.) DLA United Tractor GC-340-4 A9 2.) Minneapolis-Moline MT-40 Tow Tractor US Navy/US Army/Civilian 3.) United Tractor GC-340-4/SM340 Tow Tractor (Basic) US Navy/US Army 4.) GC-340 / SM-340 Tow Tractor with Cab US Navy / DLA 5.) United Tractor G-40 LPG Tow Tractor
  3. Hey guys, how about a big Flanker...? Sorry I'm late, but still, there is plenty of time for that big bird..... not planning to do fancy stuff nor scratch... for now.. I'm going to use Wolfpack pit, Linden Hill decal, Aerobonus pilot and maybe I'll try some Reskit after market like their Exhaust and twin store carrier.... . Had that huge box on my top shelf for over 10 years or so..... Wasn't sure about doing the version in the kit, until I got my hand on that Linden Hill sheet from a resaler at Ajax contest. The ''George and Dragon''..... Blue 43. So let's start timidly.... with the pit.. I always start with a solid XF-69, once dry, I'll put a few layers of clear coat before the wash step... Will do more this week-end, thanks for watching and have fun. Dan.
  4. Hey everyone, long time no talked, Since I built that baby OOB 4 years ago, I always wanted to do a NAM Raider a bit different than the usual one we mostly see.... And had that one stalled in my stash for quite a while.... And then came AOA came with this sheet........ hummmm, why not peanut.. And most particularly this one... Ohhhh YES...... Iron rain you asked, Iron rain you'll get....lol. with a touch of heat..... Didn't get all my goodys yet and still have some more to order but want to keep it a very simple, built and no fancy scratch at all..(anyway, I'm no good at scratching stuff....lol.) Going to use: this up mention AOA decal sheet, AMS Prop, wheels and Napalm canister, Master's barrel and Aerobonus pilot. More picture than talking I will... wan't to keep the odds in my favor to finish this GB in time.. So hope you'll enjoy and will start posting picture soon. Quick and easy, that's my new mojo. Dan.
  5. Hi folks, Here is a look at a neat diorama accessory brought to us through Aires and their Aero Bonus line. This resin aftermarket set gives the modeller six traffic cones to use in any contemporary diorama setting. Each cone is made up of two parts and will assemble easily with CA or other suitable adhesive. In usual Aero Bonus style the resin is in a cellophane envelope with a stiff card insert to protect the contents. A single folded sheet of instructions gives the part call out and suggested colour schemes. There is a small decal sheet with black letter stencilling and white bands. (On my set some of the decal's ink had dried to the covering paper.) I'll add an image or two of the finished items in due course. Cheers.
  6. Hi folks, Here's a look at a resin aftermarket diorama accessory by Aires' sub-brand, Aero Bonus. This piece is a waste oil tank and composes several resin parts. Packaged in Aero Bonus's usual style of cellophane envelope and stiff card inner, this little kit also includes a small decal sheet. The single folded instruction sheet gives assembly instructions and suggested colour call out plus decal placement. The resin components are beautifully crisp with no visible flaws and offer the modeller the choice of full or stowed height tubes. The tank handle is commendably thin. This should assemble simply using CA or other suitable adhesive. I'll post an image or two when I've built it. Incidentally, does anyone have any images of these devices in use so that I can get a feel for the level of weathering and soiling one might see please? Cheers.
