  1. Sorry about that! Fixed now, I'm still learning the photobucket interface.
  2. Just finished the Hobby Boss IL-2M3. Mostly OOB but with Eduard's Interior and Exterior sets. The interior set with the pre-printed panels is great now that my old-man eyesight is kicking in . A first for me was using Mr. Color acrylics. I recently moved to China and while it's possible to move models back and forth, I have yet to figure out how to move paints, if that's even possible. I have always used MM enamels, and not entirely sold on acrylics yet but they are working well on the projects currently on the bench (Ju-88 and 1/24th Huey). The kit is pretty good, though there are fit issues with the fuselage and upper wing at the root. Next time I might try attaching the upper wing sections to each fusleage half first. Otherwise a nice kit. Almost as good as the 1/8th scale r/c kit I designed a few years ago! Cheers, Mark
  3. Trying More pics as fast as I'm allowed I've got a few with file size issues, working on that
  4. Finally finished it! This particular kit can boast that it has traveled 2/3rds of the way around the world - I bought it while in Dubai last year, started it but then came home, so all I have to do is take it to Japan and the journey will be complete. Kudos to Tamiya for their packaging - the allowance for disassembly and transport in the original box actually works! Built OOB. I'm not a fan of acrylic paints, so color matching in enamel took some experimenting. Now for the gripes: the included canopy mask left me with paint on the canopy. I'll go back to my old method for my remaining F-16 when i get to that one. Fit was almost too good - in several places the tolerances are so tight that pre-painting is not an option, and in others I was very worried that the pressure needed to fit some parts together would break the parts. Didn't happen but I was cringing a few times. My apologies for the photo quality - I'm currently living on my sailboat and space is at a premium! I only seem to be able to upload 100K worth of pics. Any help as to how to get more photos in the thread?
