Got the door gunner done very happy with how it turned out. first time glossing a figure before wash and I think it turned out great!

Well finally decided to move forward with a door gunner, utilizing what figures I have in the stash. Also got the mini gun mounted. I know it’s not to scale or looks of a real mini gun but yeah lol, here is some wip pictures UH-1N door gunner. Base color- Model masters dark tan, dry brushed dark sand for highlights. Vest color- is base Ak medium green, dry brushed Ammo yellow green for highlights. boots and gloves- Vallejo Khaki. To be continued……

Another small update, sorry if I post to much lol got her masked up and added more exterior parts will start working on rotor assembly next while I await for paint to be delivered to be continued…

Got the rest of windows glued in followed by more pictures lol not a huge update but definitely close to the finish line! still trying to decide if I wanna add that standing door gunner. We shall see still have 2 chinooks plus a Pavehawk that can use standing door gunners lol I also still want to revisit the rotor on this build looking into a reskit rotor assembly to give it more detail since the dragon kit lacks that lol to be continued….

Did some final work in the cock pit. figures glued in made a little radio coil wire to dangle lol even tho there probably not a radio or coms there it still looks cool in my opinion then glued the windscreen on! Hardest part is over with! and a group shot haha now on to masking. Then have to wait to new paint arrives I ordered AK real colors US Army helo drab for the OH-58 to be continued….

yes sir that’s easy I followed this guys video used colors he lists and sequence. and I use Vallejo wash and khaki for boots, vests, new pads and all other FDE gear, pictured below. Hope this helps

I think it’s to late for the resin update set I’m sure I’ll build another kit later on, as I seem to do 2 of each it seems lol

While I decide on some things on my UH1N build, I jumped back over to the OH-58. The fuselage has been closed and exterior parts added on. And with rear doors on, I didn’t do much for detail in the back area as you can’t see it. But moving on for it primed and and started painting the pilots Doing more multicam that’s all the WIP for now I’ll get back on the figures in the next day or so.

Flat coat on and masks off. Needing some better glue for rest of clear window parts… (reason sliding doors are missing) but I think she’s coming along nicely to be continued…

Well moving along did a little more post shading then added more decals and a gloss coat, followed by some panel liner and made her real dirty lol pic for reference and my kit so far what do y’all think so far ? And how long should I let that panel liner dry before doing flat clear coat ??

Slowly chipping away at this bird got pilots painted, windscreen mounted to upper half, possible mock up of a door gunner with a mini gun(from kit). got main weapons mount installed and made a FLIR mount and threw on a spare black ops models hh-60g resin FLIR… I’ll let the pics to rest of talking lol
