  1. Thanks James, Indeed the service was as good as those things can be! It will be very hard for both of us and our families this Christmas, indeed it is not really going to happen in our house to any great degree. My Dad would have been 64 on the 22nd of this month...no age at all...He will be missed greatly, always, as i know your Mum will be too. Stay strong and let time do its work. All the very best, Chris.
  2. Hi All, Today would have been David Lee's (ROTARY) birthday. He would have been 64 years old. RIP Dad and blue skies. Chris.
  3. Thanks so much for your kind words chaps. Jim...Losing a parent is an unique and dreadful time, made only worse by them being taken from us "early" The loss of my Dad will leave a huge hole in our family that can and will, never be filled. The loss of your Mum is awful, and i am sure that you feel exactly the same as i do, as i write this.....Empty and lost. All we can hope for is that the future will be brighter and that as time goes by we will cope better. I am pleased that my Dad was able to open up the 1:48 scale to you, it was typical of the kind of man that he was. My Dad was cremated on Thursday at a small family service...Days are dark at the moment, but will hopefully become brighter as time moves on. All the very best and thanks to you all, Chris.
  4. Hi All, My Name is Chris Lee, i am Dave's Son. Firstly i would like to thank you all for your kind tributes to my Father. I was with my Father right up until his last breath, and can say that he died as he lived....Strong and in full control. It was my Fathers wish for me to continue his work with both plastic and flying models so i will no doubt be asking lots of advice on how to proceed in the future. These and other Forums will allow my Father to live on through his posts, and are a great comfort to his family. The Details of my fathers Cremation are as follows... Newcastle Upon Tyne Crematorium West Rd. Thursday 10th Nov at 12.00 We are requesting no floral tributes but anyone wishing to make a donation in my Fathers name can do so.....St Oswalds Hospice, Regent Avenue, Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE3 1EE These wonderful people made my Father's final days as comfortable and dignified as possible and gave our family the support we needed to care for him. The hospice does not receive any Government funding and relies on donations from the public and local businesses. Thanks once again to all of you for your kind messages of support. Chris and Family.
