  1. It came in for review at Southern Expo in march. I think the guy is waiting for more deliveries. the price was £60.00 I believe it was pre release kit as he has said he is making a few minor alterations to improve the kit.

  4. Yes you are right there to my best knowledge Ted
  5. This scheme was an OCU in Egypt, not exactly SEAC area well it wasn't last time I was out there.
  6. Sorry about that but I like them clean Ted
  7. the prop shaft supplied has no solid "bearing" in the housing so I placed a length of aluminum tubing in the housing the placed a smaller diameter length in the prop hub and slid it inside the larger tube. There is no motor in the model ,I just flicked the prop just before the camera took the shot, nothing fancy at all just lucky I think. regards Ted
  8. Thank you guys for your kind remarks, I had fun building it so the pleasure was all mine Regards Ted
  9. It was an easy build but the instruction sheets had a few glitches with parts wrongly quoted but a little attention should get you by, the manufacturer is aware of the problems I found and is sorting them. Ted
  10. Just finished this 1/24th scale kit, It is well detailed but being so large there is room for some superdetailing see what you think Enjoy Ted
  11. Hi Mark Not sure if Dave's moulds will stand up to any more pulls, it seems his 100 limit was due to moulds wearing out after so many but that does seem like a good Idea why don't you E-mail him and see what he says. Glad my reviews helped you out after all that is why we write them,, Good luck Ted
  12. Well said, one thing I know for sure it will be pretty accurate as I was with Dave when we measured every bit of the plane in Hendon we also photographed a lot of the plane at the same time, now what the resin bits turn out like I don't know as I have not seen them yet but they don't look too bad in the pics on here so let us wait till it comes before we make comments. Ted
  13. If you want another Build review then there is one on my own site by another reader http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/teds-m...ot/page-01.html Take a look Ted
  14. Well thank you Jarrod glad you liked it and I hope you manage to get yours done OK. Cheers
  15. Believe me I would not have said so If they weren't Ted
  16. last few These are bits that come in the kit Cutting Edge camera nose note how clear the resin windows are I eventually decided to wind down the side windows as they were like car windows with winders which are reproduced in the sets to do this I just cut off the bottom edges of the clear bits and set the tops in position lower down. note also the polished oval which the pilots use to view the U/C legs are working as prescribed, the kit nacelles have a glass window where this should be but that is totally false it should just be a polished metal area, I just used a bit of chrome Sellotape (scotch tape) cut to shape hope you liked these
  17. some more pics CE seat with PE parts was not in love with the Cutting edge rubber seat belts these are pre painted this panel was amazing never built anything so complex but what a result more to come
  18. I think I took some pics of the well will try to find them. Yes the other wind shield is in the set but I could not get it to sit down properly , the panel stopped it seating fully as the screen is pretty thick so I informed Dave Klaus and he said he would check and try to rectify it, of course it may have been my poor construction but as you see the kit version fitted OK. I tried thinning the resin screen but still could not get it down closer than 1mm and I had a dead line for the mag so I went the easy route. Ted
  19. Many thanks for the kind comments guys, glad you enjoyed the pics, the model was something of an enjoyable change for me.
  20. these are the last few hope these help you guys regards Ted
  21. here are some of my build photos this is some edouard on the kit parts
  22. Hi Alan I was just looking at your T-Bolt,looks pretty tasty, the CE parts are very good, some minor filling here and there but nothing to get excited about, there are lots of build photos in the mag so you can see what was needed if you cant get the mag then ask and I'll put a few up on here when the mag has been out for a couple of weeks
  23. built this recently and it is in SAM mag this month every one does a silver P-38 and I wanted something a little different so it was an engine change new cockpit and a nose job, there are no decal sheets for this machine so these were raided from some old Hisairdec sheets. you need nose weight so you will also need metal legs and Aeroclub do a nice set at around £4.00GBP. Hope you like it Ted
