On the other hand, F-4Es kept their SEA camo for years, the IAF having only repainted the national and unit markings on them. I guess the main reason is the fact that between the time Israel asked for urgent delivery of planes and their arrival, the strategic situation of the YKW had noticeably changed and finally most of such planes were not immediately required on the front line.
