Jim Whitley
Is the resin landing gear strong enough to support the weight of the model over time or does it need some type of reinforcement? TIA and Cheers, Jim Whitley
LSP_Paul
Hi Jim, While I havent built that particular resin plane, I have built several others and I'd seriously suggest that unless they did the resin gear out of some really really hard engineering resin,( not likely) that you should consider either building yourself some struts from brass and plastic. If you cant for some reason, then if your feeling really brave, try tapping the kit struts if possible and running some brass rod down inside.. I'd suggest unless its rediculously complicated to scratch build your own gear struts and add some details from the kit parts or scratch, .. It's just not worth having to fix every month untill its finally sagged to the point of being useless and popping off details.. Just my Two cents, and the best of luck, Paul Is the resin landing gear strong enough to support the weight of the model over time or does it need some type of reinforcement? TIA and Cheers, Jim Whitley
