  1. Here is my build of Roden's Sopwith Strutter kit. I have replaced the kit engine with a Vector Clerget 9 engine and made numerous scratchbuilt parts. I have represented the flying wires with tubing and monofilament. The kit has a typical Roden flavor with improved wing strut locating pins and holes. I have depicted a USAS strutter of the 90th Aero Squadron flown by Lt. H. R. Ellis and Lt. P. B. Schuss out of the Ourches aerodrome in France in July 1918. The research work was done by George Grasse, to whom I am grateful for his effort. The plane still had French markings as it came from a French squadron. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
