So I decided to start cutting up a revell P-51D and revell B to make a razorback mustang . I followed these builds as an inspiration and provide the best ideas how:
So I decided to use the old revell P-51B as the donor of the razorback. Remarkable for an old 60's kit the P-51B is actually accurate in outline, with exception of the nose area, probably due to the engine included in the kit. I mean the old kit wing has the same laminar wing shape as the new one, something that the trumpeter kit missed.
So using Junpei Temma's profiles of the P-51B,I started making cuts. Again the P-51D is from revell I got cheap since the cockpit and fuselage was already painted, and a revell B. Let the cutting begin!
