  5. Here is a few pictures of the freshly completed construction of the resin model..The construction was more demanding than usual for kits of this type...I supplemented the model with the main wheels, tail wheel and Pantoff bomb racks in the form of design my own 3D models then printed on a 3D printer...The model and all markings on it are sprayed through their own masks with Tamyia acrylic paints...Their shades are mixed from the basic shades from Tamiya acrylic paints...Sidolux ( acrylic varnish for wooden floors ) is used as the final varnish, I adapted its gloss using a matt base from Tamiya...I would like to Thank the manufacturer for the prompt response to the replacement cracked middle part of the cockpit cover - THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
  6. Everything is fine, I do not understand your lines as criticism, only during my study of the documents before start of construction, I did not find information about maintaining the OD on the engine covers and adding DG to the upper surfaces of the wings and the upper part of the fuselage from the windscreen towards the rear..From commonly available images, it cannot be determined due to the small mutual contrast of the two green colors, that's all ...If you have an official document about this fact, feel free to add it here, it will help others to orientate themselves in the topic ...Thx...
  7. Thank you for your quite a bold opinion, I meet this opinion for the first time, the difference in the b/w photo in the front is visible, but if it is the difference between OD and DG I would not dare to say based on just one b/w photo, because I don't know its shooting quality...The solution could be additional lighting DG in the front part as in the b/w photo ... I enclose pictures of the first aircraft from this formation - Sweet Helen 2 serial 4413558 for comparison with the b/w picture... Thanks for the discussion...
  8. Thank you! To quang: Really?Could you confirm your argument with a picture? Thx...
  9. Thank you very much, but my Mustang doesnt have Olive Drab finish but RAF Dark Green...
  10. A few pictures of the newly completed P-51, this time version D-5 ... The kit pleasantly surprised me with its quality details and relaxed assembly. From the details I added rivet lines for the fuselage, horizontal stabilizer and flaps, propeller cone, radio with accumulator and rear view mirror I designed as a 3D models, which I then printed out on a 3D printer,I made wiring from the lead wires in the landing gear bay, cables from the radio station and fuel pipes for additional tanks, the cockpit was supplemented with belts for the pilot's seat and the spur was replaced wheel for resin from Eduard and that's all, so the construction is almost a box...NMF surface is sprayed with Alclad II, other colors I used: Tamiya acrilic, MRP, Humbrol and Valejo..I used heavy diluted acrylic Tamiya and watercolor to illustrate the weathering, wash - Tamiya accent line color + Promodeller.National marking and other markings are a combination of my own masks and decals from the kit. As a final varnish I used a mixture of Sidolux - glossy warnish for wooden floor and Flat base from Tamiya, which created a semi-gloss final effect. The model represents the P-51 D-5 serial 44-13334 from the RAF Leiston base, whose pilot was in July 1944 Capt.Calvert L.Williams 362nd.FS / 357th.FG ....

  13. Thank you..! To mpk : in the front lower part of the fuselage,it will be necessary to grind the overlap in the joint between the fuselage halves and the lower part of the wing. The difference is approx. 3-4 millimeters...
  14. Thank you very much! It wasn´t a simple build, but shortruns never build easily...
  15. Here is a shortrun from SH supplemented with accessories in the form of own 3D models, then printed on a 3D printer which include pitot tube, antenna mast, photo gun with hanger, gunsight, pilot's headrest, tail leg with wheel, main wheels, landing hook, flaps with shafts, cover on the bottom of the fuselage in the area of holes for ejection cartridges, bombs rack, starting handle, footrest and propeller hub.Reinforcements for its mounting are added to the engine cover,I added the rivet lines on whole kit.Used colors - Alclad II, Tamiya, Valejo Model Color, final varnish - Sidolux + Matt Base from Tamiya. Marking sprayed over own masks, stencils are from the box ...
