Gentleman Thanks for the comments. This is going to be a tricky build as I realized when the Tamia's putty peeled off of my propeller. I do not have much experience with resin. So your help and comments are most highly appreciated. Thanks again.
Hi Jerry .
I do know that and Jerry Crandall and his team did a magnificent job. The plane looks just as if it left the factory doors. However a new materials have surfaced so I believe The camouflage is not exactly correct. Also the plane according to museum personel has been completed and it,s now fully flyable. So they say.:)Personalty, I do not think that it matters since it is not going to be flown anyways. But there is an A5 coming in and it is flyable and ready to pleased our hungry eyes.
Hi Michael.
I have never seen D-11 or 13 with Ta style radiator. Pictures available to me shows D9 style radiators and radiator cowling and flaps .

Guys, Thanks for the input.
Thomas, as Jerry already mentioned the decal sheet comes from EagleCals "Yellow 10 and the friends". I am also planning to build The D-15 prototype , based on Jerry's parts for Ta 152C, so we shall see. ,,, the Zimmerit is a must ..=> safety first !!!
Jerry, no need to be sorry, the parts are decent and I am very happy to work whit them. A few bubbles is not going to compromise otherwise top-notch quality of your product. Plus i am fully aware of the fact that this was the last batch . For now, I hope
Yeah, Yellow 10 there are 3 ways how to look at the camouflage, J.Crandall, Janecek-Poruba (JaPo) and me.
Tudor, we will definitely do that after You will finish your KingTiger ...There !
Not much was done today except some research in the field..

Firs of all THANKS to Jerry Rutman for his understanding and support, and great molds of his conversion set. I hope he's going to get back to the business and fulfill the gaps and mistakes of big a** manufacturers .GO Jerry GO!
OK< OK, I know I should not have started a new build if my D9 is still under construction, But I could not help it.I was planning this build for at about 10 years, ever since I noticed the presence of this plane. so a quick trip to Everett tomorow and the truth prevails once again .
... in the meanwhile here is the result of 5 hours of work
please feel free to criticize and comment to this topic, so I do not have to feel like total patient
Cheers

Matt, Thank You very much. I've ordered the The JAPO's Fw 190D part II publication a while ago, still waiting.
Here is the list of 15 D9 aircrafts that probably flew to factory Daimler-Benz in Echterdingen sometime between march 11. -17. in order to be reequipped up to the Fw 190 D-15 standards:
March11 - W.N.601071
March12 - W.N.601098, 601093, 601096, 601075, 601089, 601102
March13 - W.N.601063, 601079, 601289, 601104 , 601286
March14 - W.N.601099
March16 - W.N.601068
March17 - W.N.601080
I also have an areal picture that shows a pile of scrap metal composed mainly by Ta 152h, one could be C or D , again speculation. i'll wait for JaPo book and see.
Thanks again.

Hi David,
if you wish,I can sent you one decal sheet i have left from D9 ? There are 2 big tail option I would go for "brown 4" Wn: 500647, since is relatively well documented plane. Check out this build. http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=40756&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=75
kit
Hi everyone, I was thinking of starting a new topic but my question kinds fits in here. Anyway, I've just been given a Revell Fw-190 D-9, I believe it's the Hasegawa kit in a Revell box but it has optional rear fuselage/fin/rudder parts which are from a Ta-152.
Unfortunately, there are no decals in the kit so my question is:- Would anyone out there know which Eagle Cals sheet I'd need for a Ta-152-tailed Fw-190?
I've got decals for the standard Fw-190 but can't find anything in my very limited refs with regards to the Ta-152 tailed birds. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, David.

What about the planes captured by Russians? They had a whole unit.

The unclear story around this mysterious type of the Fw-190 development line drives me nuts. It was believed that a few were produced. But I was unable to find any prof of that, no RLM orders or factory notes, not talking about pictures. Does it mean that D-15 was a paper project and ended it's existence on the drawing board?
Is it going to be a what - if section build?
Thanks in advance.

Oups, I would say : "I-mi pare rau. A fost greseala mea"
The stencils are all in Romanian.
This is a 1/32 conversion. The decal sheet comes with resin bulges. I only have a handful of these left and when they are gone, they are gone for good and there will be no reprints. I am not sure about 1/24.

Vali, that's so coool ! I did not know about Romanian 109s. Thanks for sharing.
Just one note. I am not sure about the German stenciling on the plane that was made after WW2 ended.

It looks fantastic, very clean and neatly executed and great choice of the camouflage scheme. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Michael,
that is very interesting project. I was contemplating the very same idea, after I build a quarter scale Dragon kit.

I would say the best starting point is Hasegawa's Dora, and J. Ruttman's propeller for H version. Anyways I'll be watching this this thread like KGB.
All the best in 2011.
