Starting work on the cabin canopy

Some news, working on cockpit and preparing for canopy.

I can say it's finished. Hope that final produce looks at least a little like the Piper L-4H. The rest of pics you can find in the Ready for inspection thread.

Some details beore final weathering and shooting Luckily i decided to replace the windshield with another one without using CA. The result is much better than the previous attempt:

Wing surface development: surfacing, sending, surfacing with the white AK Surfacer, then line preshading with AK brown pencil: preshading lines and some plates with vallejo smoke: covering with my home made plywood decals: adding ailerons: overspraying with thin vallejo Yellow RLM 04:

I decided to try a second attempt with the windshield even at the cost of local repairs. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Then comes the red framing of the canopy using the thin plastic pinstripes.

Completion and airbrushing was the easier part. Next steps: decaling, wiring, washing and weathering...

Please can someone help me find the right tires (diameter/width) 420/150 mm in aftermarket at 1:32?

The fuselage covering is finished (with the exception of the upper part of the bow), everything remains to be sanded. I am going to contact the manufacturer of the replica with a request to provide photos of the cockpit.
