  1. maybe that's the reason, yeah))) no, of course they are not, good catch though
  2. Thanks. Christmas long weekend was very productive -painted wings in yellow, firstly I used Hataka paint for Early US planes colors, but I didn't like how it looks (used half of bottle and it was not too bright) so I repainted everything with Mr.Hobby RLM 04 Here, on left, you can see Mr.Hobby and on right - Hataka all wings are covered with Mr.Hobby RLM 04 yellow parts are covered and fuselage was painted in blue I like it very much, even though its an American plane, but it looks so Ukrainian )))
  3. Thank you guys, let's proceed: - I painted all fuselage tubes and glues all cockpit details together - surprisingly, I spent very little amount of putty - while putty was drying, I decided to work a bit with engine. I removed plastic wires - glued both engine halves together - using nuts, medical needles and wires I made.... this hedgehog also painted all engine details in black - fuselage and wing were sanded - and covered with primer - to be continued.....
  4. Thank you for replies. small update, that's what I managed to do this weekend: - painted all tubing interior parts with interior green, seats - aluminum, added PE seat belts, dashboards and other parts - glued all cage together - painted inside fuselage parts in red brown - as you can see, another "perfect" fit - it's RODEN baby))) luckily - it easily can be fixed - found my prototype picture
  5. Thanks guys, so let's start - this kit has not ideal plastic, I would say 6 out of 10, so I spent 2 evenings to remove, send, give nice shape for interior details for example seats, they were awful - glued together some interior parts, radio, control stick (it also was not straight), pedals etc. - painted all interior parts in black quick question - what color should I use for interior sides of fuselage? instruction says light red brown, but I have some doubts about it. On real planes that I found pictures, they have different colors: plain metal, grey, blue (to match outside colors), so I'm a bit confused
  6. Hello colleagues. I would like to share my recent completed model MikroMir 1/32 Fokker E.V/D.VIII. I wanted to do a quick build and to spend not more than 2 weeks (my vacation), but it's the MikroMir - so I spent more than one month. The kit itself has a lot of issues and mistakes, however the prototype is very interesting, i decided to build a checkerboard option, pilot - Ltn.Z.See Gotthard Sachseberg, Marine Field Jagdgruppe I, Flandern, Coolkerke Airfield. August 1918. You can find the process here Also, you can visit my YouTube channel and find interesting videos there. Hope you will enjoy it. Thanks for watching
  7. Let me join this Group build with the new model from Roden - PT-17 Kaydet, I will use PE parts from Eduard: seatbelts and interior, they are both for ICM kit, but I think there will be no problems. Hope will be able to finish it by the end of Group build, so fingers crossed)))
  8. Ok, so I can say that the model is COMPLETED. Of course, there are some mistakes and errors, but I enjoyed the process and the result, this is the most important for me. Moreover, this light doesn't show all "50 shades of grey" ))) perhaps will take some other pictures during summertime Hope you will enjoy watching as well.
  9. Thank you guys!!! what about Airco DH.2 and other pushers?

  11. new update: - mask and painted black anti slippery walk sides - attached engine, painted inside parts of cowler - moved windscreen a bit back, thanks again for point on that - covered model with future and waiting for decals
  12. Small update: - I will fix windshield issue a bit later, meanwhile I made preshading - used silver on hatches and wing edges - add salt on top of silver paint and covered with yellow zinc chromate, after that used salt again - painted in main colors top - Hataka - A218, bottom A050 - masked tail, covered it with white, again masked and painted red lines - very-very thin layer of base blue gray on tail again salt on top of base color and covered with mix of base color and light gray, approx. 50/50% that's all for today
  13. Thanks Brett. Yes, I have 2 options closed/opened and I decided to do the opened one. I think it's not too late, I glued it with a white glue, just for paint work, so it can easily be removed. However, I already started to paint model and, if I move windscreen perhaps I would have to repaint that part. Thanks
  14. an update after a long gap: - glued wings and added them to fuselage, masked and sanded - Trumpeter decided that it's a very nice idea to give flaps and air brakes in parts like this - fuselage is ready for painting - masked and glued canopy, covered with primer To be continued...
  15. Thanks guys!!! The model is ready, I thought it will be a fast 1-2 weeks project, but it took about a 1.5 months, the kit's quality is 5 out of 10, with some pros and a lot of cons. Any way, it was a fun built of a nice and unique plane, hope you will enjoy
  16. Ok, so razor has it's legs now - glued the wing, added oil leaks, dust, wire to ailerons and elevator, put engine and can say that the model is ready more photos will be soon
  17. Hi everyone, I would like to share here photos of one of my recent completed models - 1/32 Roden Fokker Dr.1 477/17, flown by MvR during March 1918. Dridecker is one of my favorite WW1 planes and I built about 5 or 6 models from this kit. A lot of modellers are very happy about new Meng's kit, which is much better, however Roden's kit is also very nice. I started to build models in 1/32 scale from the same kit approx. 15 years ago and this year I decided to launch a Youtube channel also using this kit. You can visit my channel and watch videos with the build progress and pictures you can find here - I did a lot of things with this model: - plastic sparking plugs were removed and replaced by scratch build - added wires to sparking plugs - HGW seat belts - plywood fairing imitation - control cables - made double wire bracing - I was mostly focused on painting and streaky camo. So, please enjoy this model
  18. yeah, almost the same crazy check board, but black and white))
  19. - model was painted black - masks are removed not bad, very small amount of over-spray that can be easily fixed to be continued...
  20. started a long, boring process. based on model size (a fuselage height near engine is 21 mm) on the nose should be 3 black rhombuses, spent whole weekend on it, I tried to make them 7*7mm - too big, 5*5 too small, made them 6*6mm - looks good to me to be continued...
  21. thank you, it's a bit late, because the model is almost done, but still it's very interesting material, will to take a look
  22. Some more updates: - painted wing, on top used Olive drab and light brown, bottom side was painted in sky blue and violet - on axle wing's bottom side made a mistake with masking, will need to repaint it - fuselage painted in base yellow color want to make a black/yellow "chess board" color scheme, so masking will be a bit tough. I found couple of pictures of this plane, but they are in plant fabric with lozenge, and I couldn't find picture in my colors. However, from different sources this pilot was know for his passion to repaint original planes in such a scheme. For example his Fokker D.VII to be continued...
