Stripes? The sun is on the left so no shadow to the left but the black stripe appears to extend beyond the fuselage by a couple of inches and there may be a slight shadow to the right edge of the black stripe? (pardon the bold font, getting it sorted!)

Remarkable!
I have a method for large 'ork' rivets but I'll be stealing your idea for the smaller 'real world' stuff for sure.

Great looking Thud, love the finish.

I just now caught up with this, great job on the best looking jet fighter ever made. So bright you gotta wear shades!

Well I sure did not expect that response, thankyou very much!
The foliage/coral etc is model railroad scenic material, the 'water' was made using a cold-cast resin (brand Aqua-set).
Because it sets cold you can immerse plastic into it without it melting all over the place or lifting paint. There are also colour additives if you wish to use them but paint can be stirred into it (it does not mix) for some effects. After it has cured for a while you can 'push' it into ripples etc.
The following pics were an attempt to depict oil on the surface of the water.

Thanks guys, I am doing this build for an ex-pilot and he said that it was always a good idea for the 'gator' to keep a watch behind so I did a lot of cutting to get him into that position.

My original plan was to have a squad of Japanese soldiers climbing over it and trying to calm down the poor sod that was almost run over in his OP. I never could figure out what to do with the crew, maybe I'll eliminate the idea of the Japanese and just have the crew and some marines looking it over, maybe.
The kit leaves a lot of room to add detail, Kev, so when you start it be prepared to have fun!
Dan.

My tweaked crew for the Airfix Mosquito. The kit figures are minimal in pose and detail wise, a good after-market pair would probably be welcomed by any builders of this kit especialy if posing it 'flying'.
I have since discovered that there should be a fold-down chunk of armour plate behind the navigator, fortunately I will be able to add it before bolting on the canopy.

I started this project eons ago, supposed to represent an aircraft crash landed on a beach after engine siezure. Thought that I would post some pics here for comments, maybe to push me to get back to it (or shelve it forever!). All the details are scratch, no after-market resin or photo-etch. Any and all comments pro or con appreciated.

Constellation, best looking airliner EVER! Nice job on this one.

Hey Elric, what program did you use to erase the museum background behind the Mk24?
-
Very crisp, very clean, very perfect!

Very nice scratch work.
Your consensus please,

Goodness knows! Anyhow, I can only find one pic of this aircraft, is it one of the protos, V1 or V2? I could not find any pics of the pre-production aircraft with those 'bumps'. Just a thought but maybe a slight change of model subject would remove the 'difficulties'?
