  1. Mike: Thank's for the tips...for the S.P.A.D. XIII...I will complete this a/c with some newer methods...as noted in an earlier post, I started this particular kit in 1968...and most of the parts have been prepainted..so I hope to preserve as much of the original build as possible (sucker for nostalgia..eh?)....as I've done some some research on this a/c I'm impressed with how significant this technology was in 1917/18...and the model looks 'way cool' as they say... ... We even called the Skyraider a SPAD uring the Vietman war.

So, I hope to get cracking on this long over due completion so that it will be done by the end og the G.B.

    Thank's for your interest.

    Cheers,

    ggc

  2. sTEVE, try cutting a wedge of similar clear (correct color) from a cheap plastic tooth brush...or use a piece of clear toothbrush handle and tint it with the correct color....you could use future wax tinted with food coloring... :P

  3. Lookie what I found at the local Wal-mart for $14.95 USD. Some assembly required but no screws or nasty plugs...The main wheels will need replacing with aftermarket items, as those supplied are too thin in width. It looks like a mid-production P-51 and has some nice detailing. I'll let it to the P-51 PC police to catalog the shortcomings... , however if you want some instant LSP P-51B gratification this one can't be beat....the kit issue will be even a better bargain @ $10.00 each....and for that price you can get even more Mustang Luv ...

    Cheers,

    ggc
