  1. Good evening everybody. My name is Martin and I am a rivet counter......pause,,,, deep breath .... and go!......I have been reading way too much about the KH kit being way too short and fatal flaw here and fatal flaw there. Flaming discussions were raging as usually when a new kit arrives. I was glad to see a solid posts from many of our guys who know what they talking about, diagrams and scans etc.. Thank You for that. I love it . I could not participate since I had nothing to say, insufficient budged did not aloud me to get my copy of this kit at the time.. Soon enough Kev started his OOB build and When Ernie got his mitts on this fine HK kit , I said enough, I am selling my stash.... (Cobra was The FIGHTER of VVS, it was the symbol of the end of the Luftwaffe air supremacy over the Russian territories , it was the plane that I build as a child from ancient 1/72 Revell kit, with shark mouth and big gun in the nose. As Ernie (Clunkmaster) once said the underdog, rejected by the USAF and British , finally paving the path of glory for the Red Army. Why am I saying this, because many that I talk to recently have no idea, how successful and legendary was this fighter in the hands of young Russian pilots that were fighting against seasoned German airman, a toughened veterans of many campaigns .) So, eventually my little Cobra arrived and there was a time to get back on it. Recently I 've been loosing my mojo , so I began with the cut of the tail section in order to find another way how to deal with the length issue, that was opened in John's constructive "plug" topic. I will fast forward now to the current state. I will punish your senses with a bunch of lousy cellphone pictures. This build is not going to be all out super detailed beauty. My idea is more like, this looks like ..."WW2 warhorse of an ordinary pilot who had nothing else but his faith and his machine " Here we go.
