  1. Best part of the week (or month depending on your build speed) is to see an update on Skyhook. Great work on the wheels and I must say that your rigging is phenomenal. Such intricate care of details built in perfect scale. Way to go Tomek!
  2. It took a month to get an update from you, but it was worth it. How did you actually do the wrinkles? Did you moisten the paper throroughly and got it streched a bit or what? Very convincing results. Good work Tomek as allways. Long brake but you came back with flying colors.
  3. Tomek, Tomek, Tomek! I'm so glad I decided to visit the forum after a while. Just to see your fantastic start with this bird. Those wicker seats are wicked and I'm glad you made them again, latter ones have a nice crisp presence. And the engine - I just don't know what to say. I've used all my superlatives with you a long time ago so I just bow my head with admiration. ;-) BR Tappi
  4. I just spotted this, great work Tomek. You're really getting there just keep on building. Paper does not compete with other mediums, but it sure does not give any advantage either! One of my favourite planes and one of my favourite models of it.
  5. I put L2+X41 in Google and found this. Top three links give you more pictures of the plane and the ship it was issued to was Admiral Graf Spee. Those pictures semed to be taken around 1939 in Denmark Aalborg. Hope this helps.
  6. Great looking model Tomek and I know you pull out another great model. ''Every piece you take, every cut you make, every fold you take, every score you fake I’ll be watching you…'' Looking forward this build.
  7. So good to see that paper modeling is appreciated so warmly around here. One visit to a museum was a real eye-opener to me - looking at the wonderfull shipmodels at National Maritime Museum at Greenwitch London it stroke me that along all mixed media building (which is pretty common amongst all modeling activities) paper had a very specific and unique role with some of the models I saw. With paper one can produce wonderfull lifelike scale effects. Paper and cardboar you can find everywhere. It's easy to work with and very moldable too. Affordable and accesible, what more can one wish. So when you run out of styrene sheets consider alternatives found from kitchen or your trashbin for example. ;-)
  8. Good to see this one here too Tomek. I just love the Brewster in general but being a Finn I'm a bit biased I guess. :-)
