Last year nearly to the day I ventured in a straight off the box build (apart from a little wiring inside the cockpit,a little surgery to the landing gear, where a nasty recessed mark left by the extractors thingy "graces" the oleo, the seatbelts made of lead foil and custom made bulged tyres cast in resin :D ) but little did I know that when I set my mind on finishing my J-bird in Natural Metal using Alclad I 'd have faced a whole sort of horrors, starting from coats lifting off when even the less sticky frisket was applied on them  (all markings are painted on! :( ) to cracks developing where the wings halves were glued together  !I have put all that has happened down to experience(it's been my FIRST plane kit after 30 years of armor modeling...I started with planes though!) and I'm planning on building yet another NMF Hayate in the next few hours from now....this time with a super-detail project in mind ;) !

I've solved the problem with Alclad thru a series of tests(NEVER,I repeat,NEVER apply ANYTHING on ALCLAD Chrome or Polished Aluminum,no matter what some people may say or the protective coat you're using...it'll never stick to it but it will sure teach you an all-new way of swearing against it and anything else you could possibly think of in return!) and I'm planning on bringing this little project of mine to an end with a "little help from my friends" here :( !What do you guys think of my humble effort so far :( ?Does it deserve to be finished (after I've filled the cracks in and redone several panels and other places where the Alclad has chipped off or I'd better dump the sucker and start a new one?I call it "The never hending story" but I'd love to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon....!

Thank you for stopping and watching!
