This is the second NorthEaster (nor'easter) snow storm in a week. Gosh are we lucky!

Last week's just left a dusting of snow but this one looks like it may be good for from 8 to 18 inches, depending on which hysterical weather man you listen to. :help:

Let me see now. I live in the SouthWest corner of Connecticut and when we get hit with a NorthEaster do they cancel each other out or are we in a WestEaster, an EastWester or since we are at the corner of the state is that a NorthSouther or a SouthNorther?

Of course since these terms are always abbreviated that could be a nor'souther, a sou'norther or a wes'easter or an eas'wester.   Ow! I just bit my tongue.

But wait? What if the storm turns and starts going in the opposite direction? Then does my nor'easter become an eas'norther?  My brain hurts.

Well, the weather people in Washington DC said it should last another 10 hours so since we still have electric light I'm just gonna go back to my snug warm bed and get back to reading an escapist novel while listening to the branches breaking off the trees.

:punk:

I had a glimmer of spring a few days ago. Over night we get 5 inches and it's wet. More to come tommorow. No model building or escapist books while snow removal needs to be done. This needs to be over. I will be stuck at home until it all clears. Sit at the bench and ignore the snow. Wait for it to melt. We will have spring soon I hope.

I feel your pain Ssculptor, I’m over in Rhode Island and there’s about 3-4 inches and I’m in for a surprise when I wake up. Enough with the winter weather already.

Went from 80 in Guadalajara with all the tequila I could drink to a foot of the white stuff dragging the tree branches down to the ground back home.

Uhhh. Not quite as large of a gap, but we had upper 60sF low 70sF on Sat and Sun to 20sF on Tues and Wed with freezing rain, ice and 3 or 4 inches of snow. Im getting really tired of this $#%*.

Shoot, we can't even get a drop of anything here in Amarillo. Last time we saw any precip was last October 14th! Already smashed the dry record! La Nina doing her thang. When we're in this pattern, the east coast gets wet, and we're dry as a popcorn fart. When El Nino pattern comes about, we're wet and you in the east are dry. The heck with celebrating Cinco de Mayo this year. LOL!

Last week saw the Beast from the East in sunny suburban Bristol, England. Snowed-in last weekend, and all melted away by Tuesday.

Wondering how my daughter is fairing in Amherst, MA.

Born in New Jersey, lived there until 2003 when I moved to Maine. I know your pain, but I don't miss it. Sold the snowblower and the plow truck, moved to Florida in 2014 for my job.

Worst thing about winter is the pool is too cold to use. But I save money by not running the AC! Today is chilly - 67F.

Is this glue fingerprint in scale?

Now it is Thursday and all we had was about 5 inches of snow. It is now supper time and most of the snow has melted.

Some storm! A real poof.

They are predicting another big snow storm for next week.

Yeah, Sure. Ho hum.
