I've been working on my B-25 on and off since 2013. I think Harv's about to catch up.

In 5 years? That sound like a crazy stressful speed-build. I am expecting at least 20 pages of joyful chatter and then I'll lose my nerve and start posting pictures of midgets etc. :)

Found this showing 100lb, 250lb and 500lb parademo bombs:

I think I recognize that photo. IIRC, the plane that has been hit is the past known photo of "Jaunty Jo," represented in the old Monogram 1/48 B-25 kit

I find these pictures of crashes difficult, I can't help thinking of the crew, no matter which side they were on

Tom (Gigant) and I have been PMing each other and there seems to be some confusion about Barbie ever leaving the states. Well I found this and it has the same 1st air stripes as Barbie III has. What do you think ?......harv

Actually, I am not the least bit confused.

According to the following article, the Barbie III was a test-rig, never intended to see actual combat, which is the main reason why it is still on display:

Reading the article. the "History Flight, Inc," guys apparently painted the "war-stripes" on her in 2009.

This photo is in the book "Warpath Across The Pacific" and the book has many more like it unfortunately. The book states that she was hit by an AA battery. If you have a remote interest in the B-25 and the Pacific war it is a must have book. One of the few books that documents the complete history of the 345th and a book that I read from cover to cover.
