Glad to hear it got there in time....Nothing better than a big old Skyraider under the tree!

I haven't had any time to get mine ready for paint, the kids are all starting to show up to occupy the Home Front for the Holidays and Mama Susy is in full Christmas mode (don't get in her way!) so I am doing double duty, but I'm trying to get as many out as I can.We both want to thank you all for your support...We couldn't make it without you, couldn't feed Fred  either!

Paul, you should be on commission from Trumpeter.....

My Father told me two things would happen as I got older.
I can't remember either of them....

Received mine today, absolutely incredible! The surface detail and the casting of the parts has to be seen to be believed. Well worth years of waiting for this important Skyraider variant & will certainly be purchasing more. One question, is there a decal & markings placement sheet? Thanks.

Many thanks for the enthusiastic write up...I'm glad you like it!  The color and marking guide was delayed by a lost file on the artists computer and as soon as he gets it done I will post it both here on LSP and on my website as a pdf for download.

back to work!

Do you have anything in particular that should be used to clean any mold release agent from the castings? Thanks.

Chuck

Plain old bleach and water work quite well, just mix a bit in a bucket of warmish water , put on the rubber gloves and use an old worn out toothbrush.

Naptha is also very effective, but hard to find anymore, at least here in Kalifornia.

Good evening!

I am hoping to have the AD-5  ready fairly soon....What markings it will carry are still up in the air. The more lumpy/bumpy AD-5N, Q and W will also come along shortly, it's all a matter of getting the interiors sorted and figuring out the decals.Hopefully the decal guy and I can hash this out shortly so we can proceed.

In the meantime, we have been invaded by kids, grand-kids, and more to come so the next few days will be total chaos. This means I will be hiding out in the shop trying to get my A-1E painted whenever i can get away with it!

Merry Christmas and all that stuff...

Paul

A quick note to wish you all a Happy New Year, and to thank you for being so patient while the ladies and I try to get  all these Spads out the door.

As usual, we were caught off guard by the response to the kit, and combined with the Holiday family visits and the inevitable flu laying my casting technician low, we're a bit behind the power curve, but rest assured we're making and packing them as fast as we can.

We had a few days of warm clear weather so I snuck in some painting time...not done, but the first gloss clear is on so decals and fiddly bits are next , then it's on to the canopies and weapons fit.
