Revell SPAD XIII Eddie Rickenbacker

CANicoll

Recommended Posts

Copper State decals applied, time to finish this puppy and move on to the Revell Mustang and a 1/72 Bradley (don't ask...).

The build thread is here, just the typical Revell build - dealing with lots of flash, and that funky wing strut thing Revell does on this kit.  For me this is just a fun build, love the colorful SPADs and for a WWI exhibit I wanted to add an American hero.  (And just noticed I forgot the tail plane rigging!! Damn photos!).

Vallejo Model Air, with a final white wash by Flory including dragging down the sides of the fuselage (along with a bit of brown wash).

Thanks for following along! Now to rig that tailplane....

:goodjob: Nice interpretation of the French camouflage scheme.

I like how the Revell's build-up faster then the 1/32 HC's with their fiddly idiosyncrasies.

That, and Roden's SPAD VII are my guess is that is what keeps WnW "Wimped-out" from doing one.
