Thanks very much for the kind posts guys

Si,

Excellent progress! Did you have to add any ballast up front to keep the nose gear on the ground?

Cheers, Tom

No I made the mistake of forgetting the nose weight. I had it sitting there ready to go in and then it completely slipped my mind. I'll be using a small piece of clear sprue to hold up the back end sadly.

Si,

Definitely up to you! However, with the smooth contours, have you considered drilling a small hole up front, then adding Liquid Gravity? https://www.amazon.com/DELUXE-MATERIALS-Liquid-Gravity-Weight/dp/B0047YORDQ

The hole would then be relatively easy to cover over.

Cheers, Tom

Oh that looks like such a good product that I never knew existed until now! Thank you so much for that. I'll look into it more and I'll order some if my current plan doesn't work.

That's looking great! What an improvement over the Testors kit, eh?

Infinitely better in every single possible way - well, almost every way. The front landing gear set up leaves a lot to be desired. But really, overall its superior to the Testors version

Sorry for the lack of updates - I have been busy with other projects of late

It's almost done now - just a few more bits to add and it's finished. Still needs a semi-flat coat to go over the decals but that won't take long

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. If I'd had more enthusiasm I would go the whole detailing hog but I just can not be bothered. OOB is fine for me. Besides, none of the Eduard AM stuff had been released when I had started it so never mind

I accidentally broke off the crew ladder and went to place the cover over the resulting hole but then the piece slipped off and went inside - so out came the Milliput and I covered over the hole.

The decals performed beautifully and are surprisingly resistant to moving.

That's it now until it's finished but thanks for tuning in

This is coming along great!  Love the subtle color variation here and there, especially around the exhaust outlets.

And thanks to Tom from AZ for mentioning "LIQUID GRAVITY".

Never heard of that but just studied it online for a few minutes.

What a great product!

Hi everyone

Well, it's finally done and dusted. Completely OOB with the exception of some wiring to the rear wheels.

It's come out quite nicely I think. It's hard to make grey not so boring but I managed to get some variation here and there

Now for the final pics
