davral64
Has anyone tried the MRP Mr. Paint (the Checoslovakian m. Paint) aqua acrylic paint? I'm in search for the holy grail of acrylic paints. I've tried everything except these and the Hataka acrylics so far. My trials with Mission's paints haven't lived up to the hype which is a bummer based on the reviews.... My hope is that MRP acrylics are 'almost' as good as their lacquers. One must remain hopeful!
LSP_Kevin
I reviewed them for the site last year: https://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/review.php?rid=1996 Kev Out2gtcha
Out2gtcha
I reviewed them for the site last year: https://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/review.php?rid=1996 Kev Thanks for that K1, I missed that one. Some good hits, and some troubling stuff in there too. I was hoping that this aqua range from MRP would have been brush capable out of the bottle, but that seems to be one of the misses. I dont generally use water based stuff for overall paint use, so these might not quite be what I was hoping they were.
Gazzas
Is there there any acrylic that paints good out of the bottle? I fear it's just the nature of the beast. I keep a small stock of enamels for brush painting.
Guest Peterpools
Gaz Only acrylic paint that I know is close to being able to be shot straight from the bottle is Model Air and that's only certain colors. Peter
davral64
Thanks for the review Kev! Water-based just isn't as good as whatever the other stuff is. Next question is how smelly is MR. Paint (MRP) to spray? Too smelly for the house I take it? Thanks!
LSP_Kevin
If you have a spray booth or some form of extraction, you should be fine, but I don't think you'd enjoy it otherwise. Kev
