dutik
Proof of concept: Just lacking 3 metal rods (you might see two holes at the fuselage front) and two hooks at the bottom (for catapult launching). - dutik TaffyMan and KiwiZac
dutik
No images today. Pulled my airbrush out of the stash. Guess I used it the last time two years ago. Maybe three. Airbrushing is my most hated part of the modelling. If you like splatter movies - I do not. But it looks now like an OK paintjob. Somewhat rough here, some paint crumbs there... 12.000 grid sanding mesh and gloss coat might take care of this. Next step: decals. Meanwhile brush-painting the engine. Added some wires where appropriate. Regards - dutik

dutik
Decals placed: Set aside to dry overnight. Mismatched the Micro decal solutions and applied the decals with the red bottle. Well, the biggest decal grew larger and larger the more I tried to brush it down into place... Tomorrow I'll add another cote of gloss and the final flat cote. Then add the engine and wheels and I am ready. - dutik DirkE, Girlscanplay2 and KiwiZac
dutik
OK, at least I know now, that the painting mess was not just me. Other modellers here also had some trouble using Lifecolor paints. All parts are painted. Model is clearcoted. Guess I will add the flat cote by brush and assemble the whole thing just in time this evening. Regards - dutik
dutik
Finished!!! Feels great! My second LSP finished ever Hey, it's also my first succesful GB! Will check for glossy spots the next days and add some more images when I got the lighttent ready. That means to clean a space large enough to place it Should I add some green flocks or go with plain Astan desert as is? Enjoy! - dutik, the happy one Edited February 27, 2015 by dutik Lars Befring, Girlscanplay2, DirkE and 1 other
BloorwestSiR
Nice build, especially the display base. And congrats on finishing before the deadline. I'm going to miss it on my F-4 build but that won't be a first for me. Carl dutik

Proud of you! Not sure what the green flocks would look like, but looks great now I think. Teresa :-) DirkE and dutik
