Eindecker Metal Work

No but I've had other problems with it. :(

The mist coat works fine on a spoon but in practice its hard to make it look good. The flakes seem to land at an awkward nagle making the effect hard to see.

I finally gave up and went to pencil work, but it may be too dark, disappointing really.

I guess the dark lines are ok for the closed cockpit, but i'm still trying to think of a better way.

Sigh.

I thought about using Testors Metalizer aluminum then apply the pattern with a pointed Tamiya q-tip then lightly buffing the whole part.

The idea that the focused pattern would turn a different color.

The swirls in the finish are from a Tamiya q-tip.

The focused dragging across the surface produces a polished swirl.

Very realistic, still have questions at this point, but it looks promising.

See how the light reflects in the tight squiggles, you are seeing that refection too in the larger ones to the left.

Question now is, how to seal it, how to weather it etc.
