r0t0rdr1ver
So, if you hadn't realized already, I LOVE starting kits. Finishing them however.... ...or maybe I just like starting build threads...?! I'm waiting on some aftermarket goodies for my other builds, so thought I would crack open another box. r0t0rdr1ver
Cleaned up most of the parts. Going to be a complete re-scribe, so I gotta get rid of all those raised details: Azgaron, Shaka HI and BradG
r0t0rdr1ver
Will add some Quickboost exhaust to this: Cleaned up! BradG, MikeMaben, Bill_S and 4 others
LSP_Ron
Wow, a whole rescribe will be a lot of work. I luv that old box are, I remember building that same kit as a kit. r0t0rdr1ver
Shaka HI
Good luck! My experience with these older Revell/Monogram kits is that their plastic seem a bit brittle and get worst with age. Scribing them, seems a little more difficult. r0t0rdr1ver
r0t0rdr1ver
Good to know, thanks Shaka. After seeing the nice work you did re-scribing your Hellcat, I went ahead and ordered the UMM USA scribing tool for myself. Should be here soon. r0t0rdr1ver
Lovely isn't it! I was going to do an RAF scheme, but this aircraft just looks so awesome with the blue nose and those invasion stripes.
r0t0rdr1ver
Got a bit more done between sanding sessions on the larger parts. Air scoop was pretty rough: BradG, Shaka HI and Azgaron
r0t0rdr1ver
These True Details wheels look the part, and I 'borrowed' some landing gear from my Hasegawa kit. I'm using Jerry's parts on that build. Edited December 15, 2016 by r0t0rdr1ver BradG and Shaka HI
r0t0rdr1ver
I'll also be using Jerry's prop to replace the anemic Revell offering: BradG, Ralph-D, rafju and 3 others
