Hi,

these photos suggested me to do a different Veltro starting from the 1:32 PCM kit. plus the Tail-Boom improvement kit.

On the book "Camouflage and Marking of Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana" I also found this color profile

So here are some pictures of my work

Very nice job! I really like the 205. It looks a little more brutish than the 202-but still elegant. I haven't heard of this detail set before. Where did you get it and what does it include?

Hi,

I'm away from my home and I don't have all my books with me but, as far as I remember, this herringbone schema was adopted for a few months only, therefore the scarcity of photographs and it has been replaced by the more common 74/75/76 German pattern.

The first two pictures comes from this book

The third one, that inspired my model, was sent to me by Ferdinando D'Amico

Very nice. It gives me inperation for my 21 CT Macchi kit.

But doing those stripes might be difficult to do by brush. :hmmm:

Yes, I agree, it will be difficult to do with a brush, specially at this scale.

In facts I did them with an airbrush, firstly using masks and then blending colors free-hand.

Very nice. That camo is also portrayed inside the booklets about the Veltro by Avialibri.

Any hints about the detail set? Where to buy and what is inside?

Regards!

Hi dutik,

the detail set is the one on the left

It can be used on both C 202 and C 205 and includes the following parts

As far as I know, is was a limited edition but you can try to contact directly Maurizio Di Terlizzi at this address:

Thank you. I am aware of Maurizio Di Terlizzis sets (he announced them at Hyperscale), but I didn't know that his brand was named "tailboom". Both sets are very useful with 21stCent Macchi kits too. A must-have in regard of the undercarriage, I would say.

Kind regards!
