This engine will fit an SE5a "Museum Series" of Hasegawa, the reason why... The real engine: The way of Hasegawa, only one of cylinder head_before surgery_no crankcase, no oil sump, no carburetor, no plumbing... Just that you can see on the ended model, no more! Of course I can understand. Take a look to the crankcase only: Well, I had to find a solution...Let's go, my way: Some parts to wear the skeleton... That's all folks today!Cheers, Dan. I have the same kit myself and pondered the same problem.......why Hasegawa did not do a full engine for this kit. I pondered about the possibility of making a crankcase and other details....but that was as far as I got. I did however managed to collect some detailed component and assembly scale drawings for the engine. They were drawn by W.A. Wylam and published in the September 1945 Model Airplane News. I would be happy to scan and e-mail to you if that would be useful. You will have some work to do to replicate the carburettor and intake assemblies as well as the magneto assembly on the back of the engine. When you say you need a drawing of the cooling system, I presume you are referring to the external pipe work and pump associated with engine and the relevant plumbing to the SE5 radiator. The Wylam drawings have this information with dimensions. Not wanting to be pushing the question....but I have to, are you intending to copy these parts in resin?
