Some of my old stuff...

OK, looks like I shall play as well then...

Just to prove that I once did make model aircraft (amongst other more very occasional forays) before making master patterns put a stop to all of that! Here are a series of photographs of some of my past work (from about 1990 to 2004):

Nice and varied models, Derek!

That little Dove is a beautie.

You did a lot of work on the Airfix Black Widow and their old Canberra kit.

The 1/350 Chinook and Lightning are impressive...so tiny!

Cheers,

Peter

Peter1/Peter2/Vaughn and Brian,

Thank you very much gents for your kind words on my largely mediocre efforts. It is fun to see who actually likes what? - it goes to show both how alike, yet different, fellow modellers are!

Shawn the sheep was made especially for my Daughter's 14 birthday - I had to make and finish the whole thing in less than 24 hours! (at the time, there were relative few Shawn the sheep models on the market, and every one of them was styled in the seated position, mine being the only one - at that time - modelled standing on it's feet). I felt that I would make something special for her - She loved it and still does at 23 years old...It is currently back in my modelling room awaiting an 'ear' repair!).

Cheers

Nice collection there Derek.

Aren't the 1/72s so cute and the (scrach-built!) 1/350s look like a nightmare, bet you're glad to be building LSP after that lot.

Thanks Keith :D

I am glad that I build in 1/32 and larger, however, I still make master patterns of all sorts of vehicles in all scales (like a 1/700 scale RN Destroyer kit for White Ensign), so I am not out of the 'small scale woods' quite yet!

Indulge my curiosity Keith, exactly what do you 're-animate'?

Cheers

‘Twas a nik-name I acquired after continually buying old (built) models, taking them apart and building them again. This has been made considerably easier due to individuals who produce outstanding AM. I for one am glad of people who do what you do. I just managed to buy some 1/350-scale 5" Guns from Ensign for my Arizona project. These would otherwise just be plastic blobs.

Nice painting and weathering. Have to start calling you the 'reanimator'.

Cheers Matty

Seems Matty was the culprit. :)
