Warbird
The "putty work" is done, it will acts as some sort of pre-shading, except for surfaces that will remain naked. @VintageEagle: The rivets are from the box, except for the ones I had to "repair", using a thick needle. Warbird
Thanks for your comments! After these first steps, I applied a light coat RLM 76 to the engine nacelles and under the fuselage and horizontal stabilisers, leaving the wings NMF. I'll post picture later on since those area are partially masked. Then, RLM 81 was applied in an inconsistant/sloppy manner in order to keep a "see-through" effect that is quite obvious on the pictures. dodgem37
Well done. No putty on flying surfaces or nacelles? Thank you. Sincerely, Mark Victor K2, Whitey, TorbenD and 3 others

Thunnus
Awesome paint work on the 262, Warbird! I really like how you replicated the putty work (color-wise) to serve as a base for the camo colors. My subject Yellow 3 has noted references to the putty along the panel lines showing through in areas so I will probably doing something similar. Warbird
Hi guys, Looks like I changed my mind… Although the "base" color shown above looked ok, I wasn't satisfied with the result after having applied the "spots". I just found the plane quite ugly. Well, here is she with her new dress, decals and transfers applied. All markings except the smaller ones are painted.Camo has been painted 70/82 freehand. The 82 looks brighter here than it really is. Kais, Uncarina, Rivas and 7 others
