Fw 190 D9

Recommended Posts

One of my first models in the 1/32 scale was the Fw 190 D9. I tried to simulate rivets. Did not run very well. I need to practice more. I managed to get a new model. Taking advantage of what already had continued to build.

Also got a decal sheet of Eagle Cals and the seat belts from Eduard.

What was already done.

Lookin' good!

Like the seatbelts. One small point of attention: i believe the shoulder straps have the end buckles the wrong way round.

Other than that: keep it up!

Cheers,

Jeroen

Yes, you are right.

Nice work ajmac. When I read the title of your thread, I thought you might've been trying to bash away at the original Revell Dora, but now I see it's the rebox of the Hasegawa kit. Good choice!

I started painting with RLM 83 - a mixture of XF-51 (1) + XF-61 (1).

After, the RLM 83 with a bit of yellow for the lights.

and next RLM 83 plus a bit of dark green XF-27 for the shadows.

Impressive paint work! The shading looks really nice.

Agreed! That's some of the most impressive shading I've seen. Very harmonious with the original colour, and it really does look like faded paintwork, rather than obvious light blotchy areas. Thanks for the tip!
