Howdy folks,

I'm pleased to announce that Jan Gabauer's Building the HpH Fw 189 'Uhu' in 1/32 Scale is now available!

In this 66-page eBook, Jan tackles the impressive mixed-media 1/32 scale Fw 189 kit from HpH Models. The majority of the kit parts are cast in polyurethane resin, augmented with turned metal and photo-etched parts, paint masks, and HGW ‘wet transfers'. A set of HGW ‘fabric' seat belts is also included, making for a complex kit and a potentially challenging build.

Jan navigates the complexities of the build with aplomb, offering tips for working with resin assemblies, and overcoming the particular challenges of this kit. The process is very instructive, and results are quite spectacular!

Note that this is a relatively modest title compared to the others we have released so far, and is consequently priced at a bargain AU$8 (8 Australian dollars).

Here's the link to purchase again (you can see sample pages there too):

An eagle-eyed customer has pointed out a minor error in the text of the book, so I've just finished uploading v1.1 of the book, which corrects this error. If you've already bought the book, you can re-download the new version free-of-charge via your original download link. New purchasers will of course get the latest version by default.

Thanks to everyone who has purchased the book so far!

Hey Kev,

Probably missed this but can these be printed when you buy the E Book?

Dan

They can, but there are a couple of challenges. Firstly, the 'page' size doesn't fit any standard printed format, as they're sized to fit an iPad screen exactly. I have tested printing them to A4 using the 'fit to page' option, which works, but doesn't fill the page vertically. The second issue is that it can become quite costly to print them in full colour due to the number of pages involved. Jan's book isn't too bad, as it's our smallest so far, but I'd hate to have to pay to print Peter's book at 565 pages!

OK, I just worry about downloading something like that and having a computer go out. I guess I could put it on a disc or one of those SD cards.

 Thanks, Dan

Understandable. Just make sure you have backups of your computer data! Also, you can re-download the book at any time using the original download link, and if you've created an account on the website, you can log in there and do it through your purchase history.
