LSP TIGERMEET GB

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

yes yes, it´s true. The Messerschnut will do a jet now! Hard to belive, i know....

This will be a Canadian Hornet in a (how i call it) "Low Viz Tigermeet Scheme"... <_<

It will still take some time till i can get my hands on this one, but i thought i should post my entry of the GB already. I have collected some Resin stuff for this one but still waiting for more. As soon as all is complete, i´ll post a pic of the ingredience.

Here is a shot of the full size one. Thanks to the Ripper for that!

Cheers for now,

Chris

<_< Yes Rob! <_<

Well mates, guess what this morning arrived in the mail....

I have the stuff complete now and here is a pic, as well as a list of all bits.

-Academy Kit No. 12102

-Aero Bonus USAF 150lb Wheeled Halon Extinguisher Modell 600 (Item No. 32004)

-Aero Bonus Wheel Chocks NWC- 4/5 (Item No. 32006) 2x

-Aires F 18 C Cockpit Set (Item No. 2035)

-Aires F 18 C Opened Exhaust Noozles (Item No. 2036)

-Aires F 18 C Wheel Bays (Item No. 2038)

-Cutting Edge F 18 C/D Seamless Intakes (Item No. CEC 32182)

-Eduard F 18 Mesh Set (Item No. 32 111)

-Eduard F 18 Placards (Item No. 32 508)

-Leading Edge Decal Sheet "CAF 439 Squadron Escadrille Tigermeet Special 1992" (Item No. #32.11)

-Quickboost F 18 Ejection Seat (Item No. QB 32 001)

The decal sheet is, from what i know, already out of production. It´s really a pitty because it´s very nice. The Quickboost Seat is an Aires Seat, i needed it, because the seat in the Aires Cockpit Set was damaged badly.

Now it will take a few weeks (maybe month) till i can get this one started. First i have to do some other things.

Well, here is the pic. Let me know what you think. Is there anything else which could maybe be usefull?

Cheers,

Chris

AWSOME CHOICE MATE!!!!!

This is one of my favourite schemes on any aircraft and even though I don't like the Hornet as an aeroplane, this is one scheme that I would do, so I am very pleased t see you doing it Chris!

Good luck with this build mate, I hope to be able to see it in person at Bodensee!

Cheers mate,

Jay

  • 2 weeks later...

yeah - i can't wait to see this one done!! i'm quite sure that you'll enjoy the build - there are just some fitting probs on the lerx and the aft fuselage. the air intakes will need some filling and sanding, too. but i'm sure that you'll manage these small probs. looking forward to see more of your bug!!

I am really really looking forward to seeing you do this Chris. I can just imagine how this is going to look with your excellebnt painting and detailing. Seems like you have gone to town on this one judging by all the aftermarket stuff you bought. Great man!!
