Guest Airfixer
I'm quite confident HpH will get it "right". I'd be extremely surprised if they came up with anything half-cocked or half-baked. ________________________________________________________________ And now for something completely different: Kazakh MiG-27 porn. C'mon, HpH. I know you want it, too... Edited March 8, 2018 by Airfixer Kagemusha and Marcel111

Luca
sorry for the ignorance but what makes the BN version more attractive than the standard version to justify the purchase of this set? thank you
Tony T
sorry for the ignorance but what makes the BN version more attractive than the standard version to justify the purchase of this set? thank you I'm inclined to agree with you (I'd rather it was a MiG-23UB set) but the BN saw combat in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and India and people seem to prefer bombers in toady paintwork, which is probably why Fly are making an Su-7 instead of a shiny -9 or -11 interceptor. Guest Airfixer
There is the LEM kit and Linden Hill decals. I know. I was indeed pondering over getting one. But after I had been given the opportunity to "thoroughly inspect" a fellow modeller's kit, I eventually decided to skip the LEM/Rupurator MiG-27M. Not quite what I was expecting*... *100% personal opinion and assessment. When it comes to the MiG-23 in general, by far my favourite jet aircraft, I'm extremely biased and picky. Tony Err, sorry. India had the BN indeed, also the 27; but Sri Lanka used only the Mig-27 and never a Mig-23BN (only an UB for training purposes). ... Yepp, The Kasach will be my build. Zero77
sorry for the ignorance but what makes the BN version more attractive than the standard version to justify the purchase of this set? thank you The BN version is, like the MiG-27, a ground attack version, while the other MiG-23 versions are fighters. The most visual difference is the flat and steeper nose, allowing a better field of view to the ground (disctinctive ground attack aircraft nose as on the A-10 or the Su-25...). Thank you, I was interested in knowing just the aesthetic differences Substantial: the fighter one's pretty and the bomber is ugly. Seriously, this conversion is very much welcomed and I hope it encourages more; like a -23UB. Tony
Guest Airfixer
[...] Seriously, this conversion is very much welcomed and I hope it encourages more; like a -23UB. The more, the merrier. M/MF...UB...ML/P/MLA/MLD. With the exception of a potential UB conversion, both M/MF and ML/P/MLA/MLD corrections would be significantly less complex and less pricey than the upcoming BN. The ML offsprings in particular could use the same baseline ML fwd fuselage (plus new clear parts). Even a MiG-23P conversion could be realised with comparatively little effort. C'mon, HpH! Give them a start. _____________________________________________________________________ Vintage MiG-23MLA porn (1978) Edited March 8, 2018 by Airfixer Kagemusha, Zero77 and Tony T
