BloorwestSiR
Another small update but at least I'm moving towards the finish line I attached the canopy using Bondic UV adhesive. It worked better than I hoped but I still need some practice using it. Once it was on, I have it a base coat of black and will follow that up with the blue. I then started work on the MLG legs. They're a combination of resin and metal. I decided to use epoxy for their assembly to ensure a stronger joint. Once they're dry, I'll give them a coat of paint and install them. R Palimaka
Great detail work Carl! You know, that was an oddly attractive aircraft. Richard BloorwestSiR
BloorwestSiR
Thanks Richard! I agree that it has some nice lines to it. I clear coated the model last night and applied the decals today. Carl BradG, R Palimaka, LSP_Kevin and 6 others

BloorwestSiR
Thanks Brian and Shawn! I'm getting aweful close to the deadline but I think I might just squeak under it. To that end, I clear coated the decals and removed the canopy masking. Alain Gadbois, BradG, Shawn M and 2 others

BloorwestSiR
Nearly there, Carl! Looking good, too. Kev Thanks Kev! I'm getting closer. I used 4 min epoxy to attach the landing gear. Once it was dry, I turned it over and it promptly collapsed. I think my epoxy is past its best before date. So I've glued it on again using JB Weld. Hopefully the results will be more durable. LSP_Kevin
I nearly went with JB Weld for the Corsair landing gear, but because the fit was a bit loosey-goosey, I opted for CA instead, as I knew the elongated cure time for JB Weld would inevitable lead to the parts shifting. I just hope they hold! Kev Out2gtcha
BloorwestSiR
The JB Weld seemed to work. Now to add the landing gear doors and props and she'll be done. Carl Trak-Tor, Shawn M, Out2gtcha and 2 others

LSP_Kevin
Kev, I used JB Kwik which says it sets in 4 minutes. Maybe there's something similar in Australia? Carl Thanks for the tip, Carl! I'll look out for it. There's a local distributor, so hopefully they stock this Kwik variety too. Kev BloorwestSiR
