Learstang
Exploring my photobucket could turn out interesting for those into swedish Harts...Beware the pit isn't complete. http://s759.photobucket.com/albums/xx232/nerdanders/Walk/ I believe AZ Models has a swedish B4 in 72nd? No idea on quality as I'm only interested in 48th and 32nd scales. Cheers Thank you for the link, Anders! Some very nice photographs. I envy your having access to an actual Hart. Yes, the kit I have is the AZ models kit in 1/72nd scale. I haven't started building it yet (I'm still working on my 1/32nd scale Shturmovik) but it looks nice, and the moulding is good, remembering this is a limited run kit. In terms of absolute accuracy I don't know, as I have no intention of doing any rivet counting on this kit. No doubt there are some who can tell you that one panel is absent, one rib is 1mm out of place, the propeller hub has one too many bolts, etc. To me it looks like a Swedish B4 and that's good enough. My Shturmovik build is a commission build so the next build I do is purely for enjoyment. Regards, Jason
AndersN
Thank you for the link, Anders! Some very nice photographs. I envy your having access to an actual Hart. Thank you. Yes I live 30 minutes away from the airforce museum in Linköping. There are a few really nice airplanes there To me it looks like a Swedish B4 and that's good enough. I like that. That's my plan for this build. I'll just change some really noticable stuff like engine, fin, wooden panels instead of fabric and a few bitsnpieces in the pit and make some skis. I rarely use anything other than my eyes when measuring, no rivetcounting over here... Cheers Anders Edited April 22, 2011 by filthyfirkin
AndersN
Made some progress on the machinegun fairing and the nose which I believe should be still more rounded but it's getting close. Now this was fun. Cheers Anders
AndersN
My thought exactly, Anders. After all, the Hind needs a fighter escort, doesn't it? By the way, I'm reading that Mushroom Hart Family book right now - very nice, with lots of pictures, drawings, and colour profiles. Although you won't get to this stage for awhile, it says the upper camouflage was green and aluminium. That should look very attractive. In addition to the Latvian Hind, I also plan on doing the Swedish Hart (in miniature - 1/72nd scale), so I'll be very interested in your build. Regards, Jason Yep, there were five swedish Harts in finland, four of those were standard green/blue and the fifth (black M) was green and aluminium over light blue. That's the one I plan to do. Out2gtcha
Cool project Anders! I gotta say, I do like the Finish camo......... Yep, there were five swedish Harts in finland, four of those were standard green/blue and the fifth (black M) was green and aluminium over light blue. That's the one I plan to do. Like the camo better than the plain green over blue. Cheers, Brian Edited April 23, 2011 by Out2gtcha

Cheers, Brian Thanks Brian. Yep that's the one, except lower wing swastika didn't have the white circle. Anders
Learstang
I'll have to remember that about the lower Swastika when I do mine. Luckily I have some spare Finnish markings. Regards, Jason
AndersN
Machinegun bubble almost finished. Only lacking the barrel and a few panel lines. Also made skis for the Hart (lower) and a new set for the Gladiator (original ski can be seen in post #1.) Thanks for stopping by Cheers Anders Edited April 24, 2011 by filthyfirkin

AndersN
Hi Unable to build for almost three weeks, I had the day off today and made the cockpit ready for painting. I hate painting My suggestion for next GB is "No Painting Necessary" Cheers Anders
