HK Lancaster.

Fw200 circling a convoy for hours, just out of range, and before the days of MACs and CAMs. One fed up escort captain signals the aircraft 'Please circle the other way, you are making us all dizzy'

The Fw obligingly banked, and starting orbiting the other way.....

I'll just say the word 'Lancaster' to keep this post on topic.

Thanks for posting the link Graham, looks very very very nice.......only trouble when buttoned up you'll see about an eighth of what you built.............still excited though.....

Yes, sad that. That's why I hope they include the clear forward fuselage in the kit as per the 1st photo's that were published.

she looks oooo so good

hope mk1 and mk3 in same box :hmmm:

Al

The only difference between the Mk I and Mk III is that the latter had Packard Merlin engines rather than Rolls Royce Merlins, this also meant a different and much coveted tool box. It is probably true to add that Mk IIIs generally had the broad paddle-bladed Hamilton propellers but that alone does not define the Mark.

Indeed, but apart from that there are also detail changes such as larger bombardier bubble, sidewindows with viewing bubble, location of pitot tube etc. Don't know yet about the sideview windows but the bombardier bubbles and pitot tubes are included as per James' preview. As are the H2S, Fishpond sets for the later versions. But these were also retrospectively installed in the earlier Lanc.
