Tweak Lists!

There's been a bit of understandable confusion on the forums of late about where our Tweak ListsTM are located (well, they're mostly Thierry's tweak lists actually). They are located in the Marketplace section of the main website, but this will be subject to change and reorganisation down the track.

In the meantime:

Hi!

As I received requests regarding some missing tweak lists, I guess it is easier to post a message here.

The following ones are available but not anymore visible on the marketplace page:

A short update in the Corsair A-7E list.

I wrote: "AGM-84E SLAM missiles were never used on Corsairs".

I've been very recently informed this statement is wrong. In fact, they were used for a very short period.

VA-72 actually did the final shakedown tests and the first combat drops of this piece of ordnance. The first combat drop was done on the night of Jan 20, 1991 by Cmdr John "Lites" Leenhouts, XO of VA-72, flying a/c#402. One later combat drop proved to be somewhat problematic because the shakedown tests were all done with one plane dropping the weapon and another guiding it to the target. In the combat drops they dropped and guided the weapon from the SAME plane resulting in at least one incidence of the DataLink guidance pod being pickled by a pilot when he had the wrong weapons station selected!

J.D. McCoy was aboard USS John F. Kennedy for the final combat deployment of the SLUF in Desert Storm. He worked in the shop responsible for Intermediate level maintenance on the A-7 radar and other firecontrol systems and was integrally involved in the final testing for this weapon system. Thanks to him for this interesting update.

Hi!

Look for Radu Brinzan Hurricane thread in the Work in Progress forum. This will show you all the possible improvements.

I realise I'm not Kev or Thierry but here is the build from Radu.

Pretty darn incredible.
