  1. I couldn't find it by searching "Revell" & "Mustang", but it showed up as part of the kit family when I opened the details page for the 2006-vintage P-51B http://www.largescaleplanes.com/kitdb/details.php?kit=2322 Ah, I see why I couldn't find it. The creator of the entry didn't include the plane name. I'm sure I no longer have rights to edit the dB, so if one of the mods could handle that...
  2. My post had nothing to do with cheerleading, damn it. There is photographc proof. And I said "for the most psrt" regarding USAAF. Photos of sloppy C-47s can be found easily enough.
  3. USAAF 8th & 9th Air forces had neatly painted stripes for the most part. RAF 2nd Tac is well-known for slap-dash stripes. All had the same two days warning.
  4. Look at photos of B-52s between the cockpit and wings.
  5. Johnson's Klear is a newer brand name for the same stuff.
  6. Future will protect clear plastic from super glue. Been there, done that.
  7. I'll disagree with your word "stunt". This was a real attempt to retrieve a historical object. The fact it ended in a bad way doesn't earn it the sobriquet "stunt". The project might have been ill-advised or poorly executed but it wasn't a stunt. From dictionary.com stunt:"any remarkable feat performed chiefly to attract attention" And Tom's result is awesome. I am in awe.
  8. I loved the old 1:32 Revell kits as they were affordable for this teenager. The Seafire kit was my first customized kit -- drilled some bullet holes! I'm pleased as punch Revell is keeping with tradition. Come on Hurricane Mk I!
  9. IIRC, you're talking about Mk X. There's an entry in the kit dB noting the vac parts.
  10. B-58 Hustler, not B-52 Stratofortress.
  11. And why I asked in another thread, "What's this 'budget' word?" I'm fortunate enough to be under no such constraint.
