Takom have produced a Bergepanther at last, looks really nice, have their Male IV on the go and the Grant waiting in the stash.

Nice.  I'd sorely like to see that in 1/25th.

Sincerely,

Never built AFV any larger than 1/35, intrigued though........didn’t Tamiya do 1/25 in the 70’s if I remeber correctly?

Yes, and they still release them from time to time.  Their 1/25 Tiger I, while it has an interior, is kind of dated and inaccurate...  I don't recall if the 1/25 Centurion has an interior or not but I know the Jagdpanther doesn't nor does their SU-100 (if memory serves) but I think they're all "dated".  The Tiger I is the only one I've really built so that's the only one I can really comment on, don't know squat about the rest.   If they're built for nostalgia, then they'll be a great experience but you may be in for a fight if you're looking for accuracy in that scale, you will with the Tiger I anyway.

Looks like a nice kit. I have the old Italeri kit with the Verlinden upgrade.

The interior is based on the reportedly excellent resin interior by Tiger Model Designs, and the owner was technical consultant for Takom's project. I've only built Takom's 12.8cm Flak 40 Zwilling AA gun, and did get a little agitated by the fit of some parts of that kit, but I have their Meillerwagen set and a Tiger II which seem to be better from most accounts. And they are certainly better than the old Italeri kit so I am getting one regardless.

Detail, especially of the winch mechanism, seems really good in this kit.

Bergepanther modeling in 1:35 can be very interesting especially if we have possibility to build some of the unusual modifications based on this perfect Pz V chassis

Pretty sure Dragon already has kits of those; they definitely did the Pz IV turret version, and at least one flak in the past.

You are right CATCplSlade :)

I like very much Dragon models but some sources shows diagrams this exactly Bergepanther fitted with 16 bolt rims and in spite of the fact photos are not very clear I try to count them and I guess it is the early Ausf Ds wheels.

Many Ausf Ds were sometimes retrofitted with the "Ausf A" wheel which featured 24 bolts and even some photos shows mixed Ausf A and  Ausf Ds on outer wheel row.

http://amps-armor.or...ID=3929&Type=FL

It is the same story with that AA Bergepanther 37 with cm Flak 43 because HobbyBoss 82492 1:35 model is with 24 bolts rims in the box.  Unfortunately again photos are not very clear but still my guesses are some of the outer wheel row are fitted with Ausf Ds 16 bolt rims wheel.

And in this exactly case Takom’s interior will be very helpful

Unfortunatelly I don’t have this book and I will really appreciate if someone share it with me as PDF file!
