I'm with you on this one. Late 2018 will suit me a lot better financially as well.

Hmmm... Maybe I will pull out my ID Models vacuum formed kit and (pretend to) work on it feverishly. The little swine is quite far along with all the really ugly areas purged and repaired. Maybe work on the cockpit will tip the cosmic Murphy's balance.

Sweet!   Im not understanding why the molds seem to have the odd upper and lower square-ish parts on the fuselage where the canopy should be, and where the wings go

What's that yellow stuff on the moulds? Burnt releasing agent?

Following the big Photobucket rip-off attempt, all my pictures on the forum cannot display anymore. I try to reupload the RFI pictures, but i'm not sure i'd have enough time and energy to reupload the pictures of the WIP threads. If you're interested in a specific subject and want me to reupload some pictures, just let me know. :)

These are actually the « plugs » that will be matched by the other half of the mould, and prevent the openings to be filled by the injected styrene. Mold technology sometimes require some imagination to « see » the molded part from a half mold cavity ...

What's that yellow stuff on the moulds? Burnt releasing agent?

I would probably bet on traces of spark-erosion electrolyte ... unless, as they use short-run type of molds in a softer metal than steel, this is the release agent from pouring this metal on the master ...

As for the subject, one of the very few that would have me forget my « no-camo » choices ...:frantic:

Great, nice to see some progress! I will be up for one of these for sure! It's really good to see some *exotics* getting produced!

I guess SH will tackle the Typhoon and SeaFury after this bird hits the market!!

Wow, some really interesting subjects coming our way!

Cheers

Alan

Another kit that I may well have to add to my wants list.

Kevin

I was going to procrastinate tonight, but decided to wait.
