Fancherello
hello I've been working on wings with slat actuators and wells. I used masks and Mr Surfacer, Archer rivets and Evergreen profiles to add details, and especially blades that are attached inside the slats and guide them into position when retracting. I made new tow bar connectors: sandokan, F`s are my favs, A-10LOADER and 2 others
Fancherello
I have followed some trusty modeller's advice and replaced the wing seal bags. I had no milliput left and this is a product I dont like to work with. I found some modelling clay that proved to be very pleasant to work with as it is not very sticky. But it also showed some cons such as a long time of curing entirely and a bit of recessing. as it looked stabilized I sprayed some Surfacer and a few craks still appeared on the surround. I think I have it know fully stabilized and spudged some cyano glue into the cracks. I'm not sre if this product was better than Milluput....50/50 I would say ! And between coats of surfacer and to change a bit, I needed a bit of painting to I started the engines: I used some carbon fiber decals, that were particulary thin and rigid, they didnt react to my solvents so I had to use a hairdryer to conform them ! and at last some paint ! and some sanding ! best christmas regards Fanch Gazzas, Shaka HI, Anthony in NZ and 12 others

Fancherello
Thank you Vandy ! I did a mod yesterday night with top louvers I found here: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/scalenavystuff they fit extremely well, compatible with the zacto intakes inner casings and bring a hell of a fine detailing there. Far better than the Eduard etch parts I didnt even consider using. you just need to open up original vents, carefully remove material along the dorsal spine and extend a very little bit the louvers well ( you can notice I went a tad too far on the rigt side, quickly corrected with Prince August P400 liquid putty wipe with a finger ) I had to chop a minor quatity of resin from the Zacto resin casing inside, nothing difficult. These louvers are very noticeable and typical on the Tomcat, these parts are a real must have and take all the advantage of the 1/32 scale I think. I hope they'll becom a classical mod for this kit. bye Fanch Gazzas, sandokan, Shawn M and 6 others

Fancherello
thank you for your comments ! I'm now working on lower surfaces with white marbling and streaking. This will then be balanced with a dark grey and some dirt shade on some spot areas ( which I started with touches of UK Hemp shade on engine nacelles ), and of course, blended all together. Still a long way to go ! Bye Fanch Edited December 30, 2017 by Fancherello johncrow, MikeMaben, red baron and 15 others
